Early Beginnings: Meeting My First Spiritual Mentor

Fred came into my life in the early ’70s. A friend of his had said to me “you must meet Fred”.

“Who’s Fred?” I asked.

“Here is his address. You will find out when you meet him,” she replied.

I followed my feeling and a week later found myself walking down a long dark passageway in an old upstairs office block. I came upon a door with ‘Fred Arnold - Spiritual Healer’ written in small letters on it. I opened the door and walked into a large waiting room, full of people. I stood for a few moments wondering what to do.

“Take a seat,” someone said.

The room was silent. After a while, a door at the other end of the room opened and an old woman came out.

“Next...” called a voice from behind the door.

Someone else stood up and walked through the door. This went on for about an hour, until I was left sitting alone in the room. I waited and waited. I was beginning to wonder what I should do: maybe Fred had left by another door (after all I didn’t have an appointment), maybe he didn’t even know I was there.

Suddenly the door was flung open and a beaming face popped out. The old man beckoned me to come. I walked through the door as Fred was taking off his shirt and then he proceeded to lie on the treatment table. He was clearly aware of the look on my face.

“Come on,” he said. “Do your stuff!”

“What stuff?” I asked

“Healing,” Fred said. “You can heal me. I need it, have been healing people all day and need some help myself.”

“What do I do?” I asked, quite confused.

Fred just shook his head.

“Just stand here,” he said, pointing to the head of the table. “Put your hands above my head, close your eyes and pray. You will know what to do.”

I did as instructed and a few minutes later, my hands began to tingle and pulsate with heat. They felt like they were on fire and as if they had taken on a life of their own of there own. I felt compelled to place them on Fred’s head. The heat increased and continued for several minutes. When it subsided, Fred opened his eyes and smiled. I felt my face red with embarrassment.

“You have a spiritual guide called Nuko. He’s a medicine man. He stands on one leg looking across the desert. He is a powerful healer,” Fred said. “Thanks Peter, I feel much better now.”

“You also are a powerful healer,” he continued. "Nuko assists you to do what you don’t have the confidence yet to do yourself,” he explained.

My mind was bursting with questions.

“All in good time,” Fred said, answering my unspoken thought.

This meeting began an association between Fred and myself that lasted many months. I became his assistant with his healing work and also his driver (Fred had severe arthritis in his hands and feet, could hardly walk and definitely couldn’t drive). At the time, I was baffled by that: how could one be such a fantastic healer and have major health problems himself? Much later, I was to come to understand that so many of those in the health profession (both in orthodox and alternative fields) took care of others before attending to themselves.

One day, Fred said “there is a film you should see. It’s about the healers in the Philippines. Here’s the address. It’s showing tonight.”

The next day when I arrived at Fred’s place, his wife said that he wasn’t feeling well and she hoped I could help. Fred lay on his bed.

“The bloody doctor has just been. He thinks I am mad,” said Fred, pointing at the comfrey leaves that he had wrapped around his arthritic feet.

“How was the film?” he asked, shrugging off my enquiry about his health.

“I am going to the Philippines as soon as I can,” I replied.

“Thought you might,” Fred smiled. “When you go Peter, there is one healer that you must see. He is the original healer in the Philippines. His name is Terte, he is the best of the lot. Make sure you find him.”

Little did I realise then that Terte was to become my second spiritual mentor. But for now, Fred was there for me to learn from. Terte and many others were to come later.

I spent as much time as could with Fred and listened with deep fascination to his tales of trekking in the Himalayan Mountains and discovering his Guru in his early years. He was a fascinating man and a wonderful healer who assisted many, yet he didn’t get to address his own health issues.

“It’s my karma..." he would say.

I was later to learn that the reason for being born into our lives in this third dimension is not to help others,  but to heal ourselves and to assist others along the way. More on this soon.

Many blessings,

Peter

My Connection With The Council Of 12

The Council of 12 are a group of non-physical beings that assist the growth and development of souls on this and other planets in the universe. They are a mixture of male and female energies all of whom have at one time lived through incarnations on the earth, just as we do today.

They have become awakened to their true natures and have long since mastered their emotions and, as such no longer need to live in this third dimensional reality. Their sole purpose - through their own choosing - is to assist those who truly seek knowledge.

According to the 12, there are only two individuals on this planet whom they directly use as voice pieces or channels: a lady called Selecia in California and the man I work with, Peter D.

Peter D called me 18 years ago seeking assistance with an anger issue. He had consulted a clairvoyant who had suggested he call me for some regressional hypnotherapy to help him with an issue stemming back to the age of 9 years old.

Peter D slipped easily into a deep trance and was soon reliving a previous life as a 9-year-old crippled boy - his anger stemmed from this earlier time. Peter D and I worked on these underlying patterns for a number of years; this assisted him to clear his anger (the anger that this man carried was "loaded", meaning it was out of all proportion to any current event that may have triggered it).

One day his “loaded” anger was gone. It was at this point that Peter found himself standing in a cavern (while in a deep trance state). With him in the cavern were 12 beings standing in a semicircle around him. Peter had no idea who they were. When I asked him to enquire of their identity, they introduced themselves as the Council of 12 (neither of us had ever heard of them).

This was the beginning of a remarkable journey for both Peter and I. We have learned a great deal from “The 12” and they continue to guide both of us and assist through workshops to help others. Over the years since these early beginnings, “The 12” have done individual readings for those in need of assistance and many have been helped with simple practical advice interspersed with deep wisdom, for ”The 12" understand all things and see with absolute clarity.

Since connecting with "The 12" wise ones, my work as a therapist and metaphysical workshop facilitator has been taken to much greater depths and my vision has opened. Meanwhile, Peter D has moved from a man trapped in rage to a wise and intuitive individual who assists a great many individuals and groups.

We began the workshops with the assistance of the Council of 12 soon after we met them and by 2011, these workshops evolved into a series of five two day workshops taking place on a weekend every two months covering a period of 10 months. The workshops will continue in this format in 2012.

We have already seen these workshop processes are unbelievable and for those willing to change, remarkable transformations are occurring in peoples lives. “The 12” have designed the workshops and each is a layer that unfolds another level of inner awareness in the individuals attending.

The 12 tell us only those who are invited by them will attend.

These workshops are an opportunity for those attending to ask questions of “The 12”.

One man who had booked and cancelled a workshop, saying he couldn’t afford to come, called me up on the morning of a workshop and asked if there were any places left (someone else had cancelled that very morning leaving one spot available). The man had had a dream that night; in the dream he saw a round table with 12 monks seated and one empty chair. A collective voice spoke "we cannot start until you come" (this man knew nothing of “the 12” and their connection to the workshops). Needless to say he came and his life has since changed in remarkable ways.

The Council of 12 continue assist and both Peter D and myself to help facilitate the journeys of others. We both feel blessed to have been given this opportunity.

Blessings to all.

Peter

How Fear Blocks Faith

Faith is a knowing and a trusting that the universe will protect and guide you. Fear casts doubt on all things and when fear is active within you it invades every part of your being. There are small fears and large fears (which can led you into terror). For example, one person may be fearful of a large spider another may be terrified of the same spider.

All fear has its origin in our history; we learn it as a result of a previous experience. One lady who was terrified of spiders recalled under hypnotic regression that her older brother had placed spiders on her face while she slept as a young child. Another woman who had fear of men in intimate situations relived being inside her mother womb when her father punched her mother in the stomach trying to bring on an miscarriage. He didn’t want another child. In the light of this information, it is easy to understand these individual's current fears. By bringing these buried memories to the surface, these embedded fear patterns dissolve and the fear evaporates.

However, there is a core fear that most people often carry. If you are like me, you may not even realise that you have this fear. This fear can infiltrate every fibre of your being and all other fear, like those mentioned above, loaded on top of the core fear. I have, while on my journey of self-discovery, overcome many fears and become stronger and more confident as a result. However, one day not that long ago, I found myself engulfed by an avalanche of fear, way beyond any fear I had previously experienced. During a meditation, I relived a past life experience as a young woman living in what was Malaya during the latter stages of WW2. I was shot by the Japanese for hiding an American airman, who had been shot down. I died in terror and great shame. The terror was from knowing I was to be executed; the shame/guilt from letting my fellow villagers down, some of whom were also executed before my eyes. I returned to my current life as Peter some six years later and brought the overwhelming fear with me.

By recalling the all-pervading fear of that past life, I became acutely aware that I had unknowingly carried this core fear with me throughout my current life. As a result of becoming aware and feeling the fear, I felt as if I had been dismantled; the old me was totally shattered and I didn’t know who I was anymore. Yet another part of me knew I simply had to ride it through. I wrote out my past emotion. I yelled, I ranted and raved. In short, I worked at releasing the fear. Bit by bit, something began to surface; pieces began to emerge. I knew that I was now different, yet I couldn’t explain what or how. I began to see everything in a different light. The old ego -  that had protected me by suppressing these past memories and kept me safe - was shattered and something else from the depths of my being began to emerge. I was more 'me' than I had ever been. Faith was expanding where the fear had been. And so my journey continues...

The 7 Universal Laws: A Reminder

You may remember sometime ago, I wrote about the 7 Universal Laws... if you missed them the first time around or you need a reminder, here they are once again.

1. The purpose of living in the three-dimensional world is to come to know yourself.

2. There is no good or bad; there just is.

3. Fix yourself, not everyone else.

4. Do not interfere in other peoples journeys unless you are invited to do so.

5. We are divine beings and as such, we decide and agree with our soul group on how we will help facilitate each others lessons in life.

6. There are no coincidences. Everything has a purpose.

7. To truly understand something, we must experience it on all levels and in all its facets.
